Ram Navami Mantra

The auspicious occasion of Ram Navami is incomplete without chanting the Mantras or hymns dedicated to Lord Rama. The best way to observe Ram Navami is by reading the Ramayana. The sheer length of the epic may dissuade you, but there are simpler alternatives available for the true believers.

If you chant the name of Lord Rama (“Ram Naam”), that in itself acts as devotion and a divine hymn for Lord Rama. Another similar short but equally important mantra for Ram Navami is “Shri Ram, Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram”. The Thaaraka mantra is also known as the Mantra Ra Ma and is an amalgamation of 'Namasivaya mantra' and the 'Om Namo Narayanaya maha mantra'.
